About the role
A top-tier global law firm is hiring a Corporate associate for its thriving, market-leading corporate practice in Chicago. You'll work across the full spectrum of corporate transactions, including private equity, M&A, and capital markets, on one of the strongest corporate platforms in the market.
What you'll do
- Work across private equity, M&A, and capital markets transactions
- Supervise due diligence and manage transaction workstreams
- Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and ancillary transaction documents
- Manage and facilitate closings, working closely with partners and clients
- Take on early responsibility across a variety of industries
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary $310,000–$435,000 per year (market/Cravath scale, roughly 4th-year and up), depending on class year and job-related factors
Requirements
What you'll bring
- Four or more years of corporate transactional experience (JD 2022 or earlier)
- Experience supervising due diligence and drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements
- Strong analytical skills and sound transactional judgment
- A self-starter who values teamwork and wants significant responsibility
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission to, and good standing with, a relevant state bar
